Trekking
Trekking

Trekking in The Mountains behind Dalyan are some of the most beautiful anywhere in the Turkey. Below the tree line, & winter snow, are the yayla (highland plateaux.)
Falling away from them; canyons, gorges and passes, down which in spring the melting snow rushes. Many of these gorges were important trade routes, some still in use, some completely forgotten, though all at one time jealousy guarded. The scenery is dramatic: extensive pine and cedar forest, outcrops of juniper and plane and varied maquis are topped by the impressive Ak Mountains; snowcapped until July. Until recently the tracks between villages were for donkeys and pack animals and these these tracks can still be followed, taking you along meandering and varied terrain's instead of the direct vehicle roads which replaced them. Whether your interests be in the steps of forgotten civilisations, the geography and nature of a beatiful land or the attraction of unspoilt village life you will love walking and hiking in Lycian Turkey.

During our tour of the beautiful countryside we will make a few stops; the first stop is the famous Sulungur Lake, where you can take a beautiful pictures of a clear water. Time for a swim at Kargacak Bay where you can only see wild goats resting, an area of wild natural beauty, to reach here brings a real sense of achievement, your reward a refreshing swim and a shared moment in time with nature, as you pass through seemingly untouched forests and roads, seaside and panoramic views.
